What a great idea. I only get to play tennis on the Wii but would love to play more in the real world! Have you asked your teacher whether you could play tennis? If the school has a school council perhaps you could ask them too. In some schools there are tennis racquets and balls so that children can play at playtime.

Hello. My name is Susan Ross and I am a children’s author. I write picture books so you’re too old for them (although they are really funny).

I am also a tennis fan and former tennis enthusiast (now I garden). Years and years and years ago I used to teach tennis at a summer camp.

Tennis is a wonderful game. It’s great exercise (hmmm, I’m a TERRIBLE speller- I had to look that word up, as usual!), teaches coordination, strategy and most important, it’s fun!
